Post-translational modifications (PTMs) play a significant role in regulating protein structure, activity and function and are closely involved in various pathologies. In this article, we conduct a systematic survey of study developments in imbalanced PTMs classification and summarize the recently proposed bioinformatics tools based on imbalanced PTMs. Moreover, we analyse the challenges of current computational predictors and propose some suggestions to improve the model efficiency of imbalance learning.

Bohai Marine Ecology Progress Series — Locations of the surface sediment samples collected from the Bohai Sea

Petroleum exploitation causes serious pollution to the semi-enclosed Bohai Sea (China) ecosystem. Influences of such pollution on the α- and β‑diversity of the bacterial communities and the in situ hydrocarbon biodegradation potential present in the surface sediments was explored.
